Sphere IPTV on Roku
Roku does not let you install third-party IPTV player apps, so there is no direct way to sign in to Sphere IPTV on a Roku device. The practical options are screen mirroring from an Android phone or Windows PC, AirPlay from an iPhone to a supported Roku, or plugging a Firestick or Android TV device into a spare HDMI port on your Roku TV.

Why Roku is different
Roku devices only install apps from the Roku Channel Store, and Roku does not allow sideloading of ready-made apps. Its developer mode is for developers testing their own channels, not for installing players built for other platforms.
A few store apps can open M3U playlists, but they typically lack Xtream Codes login, a full TV guide and on-demand sections, and their availability changes often. That is why we do not recommend relying on them.
Three ways to watch Sphere IPTV with a Roku
Option 1: Screen mirroring from Android or Windows
On the Roku, check Settings → System → Screen mirroring is enabled. Set up Sphere IPTV on your phone using our Android guide, then use your phone's Cast or Smart View feature to mirror to the Roku.
Option 2: AirPlay from iPhone or iPad
Many Roku 4K models support AirPlay. Set up a player on your iPhone following the iPhone and iPad guide, then AirPlay the stream to the Roku.
Option 3: Add a streaming stick (recommended)
Plug a Fire TV Stick or Android TV device into a spare HDMI port on your TV and follow the Firestick guide. You get a proper player app with a full TV guide, and you can keep using Roku for everything else.
Configuration tips for Roku
- Mirroring streams video twice over your Wi-Fi (source to phone, phone to Roku), so a strong 5 GHz connection matters.
- Keep the phone plugged in while mirroring — it keeps decoding the whole time and drains the battery quickly.
- If you only watch occasionally, mirroring is fine. For daily viewing, a separate stick is far more comfortable.
