Sphere IPTV on Smart TV
Sphere IPTV runs on most smart TVs through a third-party player app from the TV's own app store. Samsung (Tizen) and LG (webOS) TVs usually use apps like IBO Player that activate with the TV's MAC address. Sony, TCL, Philips and other Google TV or Android TV models can use the same apps as Android devices.

How to set up Sphere IPTV on a Samsung or LG TV
Install a player from the TV's app store
On Samsung open Apps; on LG open the LG Content Store. Search for a player such as IBO Player and install it. App availability varies by TV model, year and country.
Note the MAC address and device key
Open the app. Most TV players show a MAC address and a device key on the first screen. Write both down — you need them to add your playlist.
Order and receive your playlist details

Add the playlist on the app developer's website
On a phone or computer, go to the app developer's official website, sign in with the MAC address and device key, and add your playlist. If you get stuck, send us your MAC address and we will guide you through it.
Restart the app on your TV
Close and reopen the app. Your channel list, on-demand content and TV guide load automatically.
Configuration tips for Smart TV
- Many TV player apps charge their own activation fee after a free period. This is paid to the app developer and is separate from your Sphere IPTV plan.
- Smart TVs usually have weaker Wi-Fi than streaming sticks. A wired Ethernet cable makes a noticeable difference.
- Keep the TV's firmware updated so the app store and player run properly.
- Standby mode does not fully reset a TV. If the app misbehaves, unplug the TV at the wall for 30 seconds.
Which plan? If you are paying a separate activation fee for a TV app, a 3 Months plan gives you time to get full value from that setup.
Troubleshooting Sphere IPTV on Smart TV
